Middle Ages took its current name from Favonio wind, it looks like a big gently
alighted on the Mediterranean waters. Water that still evoke events of history
and myth, they hide in their deepness secrets of ancient battles, as the
terrible Battle of the Egadi 241 BC Red fought between Romany and
Carthaginians; waters still full of the people of the sea's voices, chants and
cries engaged in a thousand and thousand of mattanze "the ancient and
traditional tuna fishing" learned by Arabs. Attractions, Palazzo Florio and Red
Cove inlet symbol of the island.
Monday: we'll stop another day in
Favignana to enjoy its beautiful sea.
Tuesday: Levanzo the smallest
of Egadi islands, the absence of rolling stock roads invites visitors to trek
through tracks of undoubted charm, we can, without great difficulty, reach,
following the western side of the Island, the Genovese Cave, meeting a lot
of the vegetable expressions from the strong wild fragrance of the Island. The
Cave's graffitos, dating to around 9200 BC, testify a community dedicated to
hunting and tuna fishing, united in tribal ties and magical
rituals.
Wednesday: we still remain in Levanzo
or moored in the bay, chatting and tasting the delicious culinary delights of
the island.
Thursday: Marettimo, perfect for every type of tourist,
fans cave explorers, lovers of underwater exploration, in general for those who
want to leave their outcry and the smog of cities, to dive in an untouched
paradise. The island can be considered one of the last paradises still
unspoiled. Certainly we will not go back to a stop in the numerous coves that we
will find during the cruise.
Friday: navigation to Favignana then
head to Marsala.
Saturday: 09.00 a.m. landing in
