PROGRAMME Saturday: departure from Elba
arrival in the afternoon to Portoferraio, the Island’s capital and main harbour
centre of the Elba Island. A bath in the famous Gravels’ beach, where the water
is really clear because the sea floor is completely lacking in sand. Or a walk
in the old City. We’ll visit Napoleon House and the Fortress that dominates the
Gulf. At nightfall, after having dinner, we’ll plunge into Portoferraio by
night. Sunday: departure to Capraia. During the cruise, if we are
lucky, will meet dolphins, whales or sperm whales. Rising out about 9 million
years ago, Capraia, looks today with its hard and uncontested beauty! Lays down
in a clear sea setting, that penetrate the ravins of steep rocks and striking
bays. Landescapes and vegetations are spectacular, thanks to the wind that,
blowing constantly and sweetly, has modified turning them into unique backdrops.
From the small port we’ll go through the only one asphalt road, to the real
Village, situated at an old Fortress-Castle foot drop to the sea. However, in
Capraia doesn’t lack romantic restaurants, neither the opportunity of ending the
day going to the disco. Monday: navigation to Centuri (Cape Corsican),
an enchanting crystal harbour. Tuesday: from here, we drive to Macinaggio.
To discover the nature reserve of Finocchiarola with seagulls Audoin and beaches
of Sainte Marie and Tamarone. Then, you come to Erbalunga, a small fishing
village so picturesque that, in the thirties, many painters resting there their
stand. Wednesday: stop in the beach resort of Santa Severa rich in
history, culture and archaeological evidence, which, with beautiful sea and the
many tourist facilities will color the coasts. Thursday: sail towards
Marciana Marina. The fulcrum of modern life of Marciana Marina is the promenade,
while his living room is the square on which overlooks the parish church of
Santa Chiara. In summer in this lounge there are cultural worldly events that
attract tourists and personalities of various circles. The coast around the
country has got small bays cashed in narrow valleys and cliffs, which remain
immune from bathing deafening, typical of the larger ones. We find Cala and
Caletta, small beaches with a natural environment around lush and sea with a
fabulous transparencies: just think that there is no way to reach them, but only
under the ilex paths or from the sea. Friday: Portoferraio where we
reach our last stop. Saturday: 09.00 a.m. landing
