Monday: Heading towards Panarea one of the most beautiful islands in the Aeolian. There is not only jet-set tourism on Panarea. The island has one of the most important archaeological sites in the Aeolian archipelago (Capo Milazzese) and hikers will be surprised to find a well-maintained network of trails leading to all points of naturalistic interest, which also offer stunning panoramic views. Panarea is of charming beauty and deserves a visit by anyone interested in nature, history, and geology.
Tuesday: at about 15 nm there is Volcano. Isle of particular interest for its volcanic phenomena and post-volcanic. The plateau Volcano, the largest of the Aeolian islands, is surrounded by hills that slope towards the sea. Vulcanello, formed by three craters aligned in the direction Nord-Est/Sud-Ovest is constantly kept under control by the Institute of Volcanology at the University of Catania. The island is inhabited by about 450 people employed mainly in the field of tourism, in the spa (the island of Vulcano has a wealth of many sources which many also underwater) and viticulture.
Wednesday: we'll reach Lipari. A particularly complex island from a geological point of view for its volcanological and endogenous events that exist these are the fumaroles (the most important in Bagnosecco), solfatare and springs (in San Calogero). Lipari is an ideal climate station and sought a stay bathing thanks to the mild climate and the charm of its landscapes. The tourist boat trip around the island is an experience not to lost thanks to the alternating beaches, caves and coves.
Thursday: we head to Salina, the origin of its name derives from the presence of numerous salt that once were situated in the southeastern part of the island. The island is of volcanic origin, as all other Aeolian islands, and is characterized by two volcanic cones: Mount Fossa delle Felci (962 metres high and highest peak of all the Lipari Islands) and upstream of Porri (859 metres) joined by a pass. The main activities are the cultivation of the vine, and the caper's March and it is here that it produces the famous white wine Malvasia.
